Forming a New Group
Members have an idea, or a passion. They sound it out with other U3A members, then advertise on the noticeboard at the main meeting. If 3 or 4 other folk are interested, a day and time are chosen to meet together to decide priorities, days/times/venues. Once a small group has started, the chances are good that other members will want to join. Remember, groups do not have to be large, neither to they have to operate for a certain time. A small group meeting for a short period of time for a defined purpose is just as valuable as a large one operating over a long period of time.
Groups that we hope to see established once leadership and membership are agreed.
