We found Alex Miller’s books to be a ‘good read’ on topics such as the art scene in Australia, relationships between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians, friendships and the Australian outback. His writing has wonderful characterisations of the people portrayed in the book and at times you feel like you could have been there at the scene of the book. His writing is also seen as breaking new ground, for example, in ‘His Simplest Words: a Storyteller’s journey’ he gives an account on how to start writing, using an embroidered account of his own memoirs. We highly recommend this author.
